$2,950

Lodge was a bird artist, naturalist, taxidermist and falconer from Lincolnshire who was celebrated in his own lifetime, commemorated in several museums, and commissioned to illustrate major ornithological works.

His precise style, mastery of detail and empathetic approach to wild creatures capture their essence perfectly and portrays them realistically in their environment.

Lodge’s most common subjects were birds of prey and his pictures of mammals are rare and expensive. A stoat in 2017 fetched £5,000 at Christies and in 2017 a hare reached $13,750.
