Jensen initially studied with his father, the painter Christian Vilhelm Jensen, and studied from 1874 to 1880 at the Copenhagen Academy. Between 1879 and 1922 he exhibited widely, won the Sodring Gold Medal in 1892, and was added to the Royal Collection. In this landscape he creates the illusion of infinite space.
