Signed oil on canvas

Damschroder was a Dutch genre and interior artist known for  his intimate domestic scenes, often depicting mothers, children, and everyday household activity with a warm 17th century inflected atmosphere. His work shows clear affinity with the Dutch Golden Age  – particularly with  Pieter de Hooch and Nicolaes Maes – through his attention to light , spatial harmony and narrative detail.
